Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Falloy (“we”, “us”), the operator of Off Grid Builder. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

⚠️ Electrical disclaimer — read this first

Off Grid Builder is a design and layout aid. Its calculations, gauge/fuse suggestions, measurements and diagrams are advisory only and are provided for planning and illustration. They are not a substitute for the advice of a licensed electrician, marine electrician or engineer, and not a substitute for compliance with the electrical codes, standards and regulations that apply where your system is installed.

Electrical work can be dangerous and, in many jurisdictions, must be carried out or certified by a licensed professional. You are solely responsible for verifying every part of your design against current standards and having your installation checked and, where required, certified by a qualified person before use. We accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury, fire or death arising from reliance on the app or from any installation you build.

1. Licence

You may design layouts for free. To save and export your work you purchase a one-time, per-installation licence. A licence grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the paid features for a single installation / project. The licence is for your own use; you may not resell, sublicense or share it. We retain all intellectual property in the app, its component library and its skins.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the app for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to breach, probe or circumvent the app’s security or licensing;
  • reverse-engineer, scrape or bulk-extract the component library except as permitted by law;
  • resell or redistribute the app or its content; or
  • upload content that infringes others’ rights or is unlawful.

4. Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices are shown before purchase and may include taxes depending on your location. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound “buy” or product links in the app may be affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes the advisory-only nature of our suggestions, and we do not let commissions dictate what components we show.

6. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of data or specifications, or uninterrupted availability. Component dimensions and specifications are sourced from manufacturer data but may contain errors or become out of date; always confirm against the manufacturer’s current documentation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the licence in the preceding twelve months.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law, that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
